The Tri-Cities Kid's League offers T-Ball, Softball, and Baseball to boys and girls, ages 6 to 17.

When does registration begin?
The Tri-Cities Kids League registration begins in mid-February. Please click REGISTRATION for complete information on dates and
fees. You can register online or download a copy of the
registration form and mail it in to the League.
How are players assigned to teams? Do you allow special requests?
Players in the T-Ball and Instructional Leagues are assigned to teams by the League. In the past, the League has tried to accommodate requests for players to play with other players
or a certain manager, but this has become an administrative burden for the league. A T-Ball or Instructional League manager may select three players to play on his/her team.
The first player must be his/her child. The second must be his/her assistant manager's child. For the third player, the manager must have parental consent. No other requests
to play together will be granted except for siblings, or unless extraordinary circumstances warrant a special exception being granted by the Board.
Players in the upper leagues are chosen by the managers in the draft. TCKL informs managers of special requests made in writing on the registration form, however, managers are not
required to honor these requests. Moreover, the draft rules are complex, occasionally resulting in a player being unavailable for selection by a manager even though he or she intended
to select that player. TCKL will not honor requests for trades or reassignment of players selected in the draft.
How old does my child have to be to play TCKL ball?
Your child must turn 5 before January 1, 2010, and cannot be older than 17, as of December 31, 2010 (or still enrolled in high school), to be eligible for participation in the 2010
program. The age ranges by leagues are as follows:
| T-Ball | (born 2003, 2004) |
| Boys’ Instructional | (born 2001, 2002) |
| Boys’ Minor | (born 1999, 2000) |
| Boys’ Intermediate | (born 1997, 1998) |
| Boys’ Major | (born 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996) |
| Girls’ Instructional | (born 2000, 2001, 2002) |
| Girls’ Junior | (born 1997, 1998, 1999) |
| Girls’ Senior | (born 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996) |
| NOTE: |
Players born in 2002 who are first year players, will be allowed to play T-ball upon request.
Please contact TCKL with questions.
All placements are final once teams are formed. Parents of first year T-ball players should consider league selection carefully.
Players born before 1993 may play in the Major or Senior league if still in high school.
Please contact TCKL with questions.

How do I volunteer to Manage a team?
Volunteers are always welcome! Please register online to Manage a team or
download a signup form and mail it in.
How do I volunteer to be an Assistant Manager?
Volunteers registering to manage a team make the request for an assistant manager. If you know someone who is registering to manage and you wish to assist, you must coordinate the
request with him/her. The registering manager has the option of entering the name of one assistant manager and the assistant’s child, who will be placed on that team. If you don’
t know of someone registering to manage, please volunteer to help the manager of your child’s team.
How can I or someone I know Umpire?
Umpires are always needed! If you, a relative, or a neighbor is interested in umpiring, we always need to add to our pool of umpires. We offer
umpire clinics for training. Your child is eligible to umpire if he/she will be at least 12 years old during the current calendar year. Umpires
are paid between $12 and $25 per game depending upon umpiring experience. Register online to Umpire or
download a signup form and mail it in.
What kind of time commitment is required of a Manager or Umpire?
For Managers the time commitment is 2 evenings per week, for 1-1/2 hours per night.
For Umpires the time commitment is 1 - 2 evenings per week, for 1-1/2 to 2 hours per night.
Why is there a registration deadline?
It is essential that the League substantially complete the regular registration process by March 31. REQUESTS TO REGISTER AFTER THE MARCH 31 DEADLINE MAY NOT BE
ACCEPTED. This is due to scheduling, roster, and time limitations. Regardless of the practice in prior years, there can be no assurance that a registration received after the
deadline can be accepted. It will be in the discretion of the League's Registration Committee, subject to the authority of the Board and League rules, to accept or reject any late registration
received after the deadline.
A Manager will contact you by early May with the players’ team assignments and first practice time and date.
If you do not receive notice of a team assignment by the second week of May, please drop us a line.
