The Tri-Cities Kid's League offers T-Ball, Softball, and Baseball to boys and girls, ages 6 to 17.

League Descriptions

This information is intended as a general description of each of the TCKL Leagues.  Please visit the Rules Page for an explanation of each league’s rules.

T-Ball
  1. For players born 2003-2004. (*Note: Players born in 2002 who are first-year players, will be allowed to play T-ball upon request – Contact.)
  2. Focus of the league is to learn basics of the game.
  3. Batters hit off a batting tee.
  4. All players bat each inning.
  5. All players play in the field each inning.
  6. Games have a time limit of 1 hour 15 minutes.

Instructional Baseball
  1. For players born 2001-2002.
  2. Batters hit pitches from a pitching machine.
  3. 10 players play in the field.
  4. Actual game conditions apply- 3 strikes is an out; teams exchange positions upon a third out or fifth run.
  5. Games have a time limit of 1 hour 15 minutes.

Minor Baseball
  1. For players born 1999-2000.
  2. 9 players play in the field.
  3. No bunting.
  4. Infield fly rule applies.
  5. Games consist of 6 innings.
  6. First half of season:
     • Batters begin with a 1-1 count
     • No stealing
    Second half of season:
     • Stealing attempts permitted after pitch crosses plate

Intermediate Baseball
  1. For players born 1997-1998.
  2. Bunting permitted.
  3. Infield fly rule applies.
  4. Runners may attempt to steal after the pitch crosses the plate.
  5. No lead-offs.
  6. Games consist of 6 innings.

Major Baseball
  1. For players born 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993. (Note: Players born before 1993 may play in the Major league if still in high school – Contact.)
  2. Runners may attempt to steal bases (without waiting for the pitch to cross the plate).
  3. Infield fly rule applies.
  4. Games consist of 6 innings.

Instructional Softball
  1. For players born 2000, 2001, 2002.
  2. Batters hit pitches from a pitching machine.
  3. 10 players play in the field.

Junior Softball
  1. For players born 1999, 1998, 1997.
  2. Softball pitchers use the windmill motion.
  3. 10 players play in the field.
  4. No bunting.
  5. No infield fly rule.
  6. Games consist of 6 innings.
  7. First half of season:
     • Batters begin with a 1-1 count
     • No stealing
    Second half of season:
     • Stealing attempts permitted after pitch crosses plate
